Job summary

BioLegend, Inc. in Hopkinton, MA is seeking a hands-on technician to support testing, assembly and repair of prototype electro‑mechanical systems. You will read schematics and work from plans to perform testing and fault isolation.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years with hand tools and machine tools, a high school diploma, and basic computer literacy; an Associate Degree is a plus. The role emphasizes reliability, detail, and problem solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years with hand/tools and/or machine tools.
• Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.

• Detail-oriented and thorough in tasks.
• Ability to read and follow schematics and plans.
• Able to test, inspect and troubleshoot to identify issues.

Responsibilities

• Test, checkout and trouble‑shoot prototype systems and equipment.
• Perform hardware/software fault isolation and debugging.
• Assist in selecting methods to remedy malfunctions.
• Use oscilloscopes, signal generators and diagnostic tools.
• Work from schematics and defined plans to perform tasks.
• Identify performance indicators and suggest improvements.
• Apply engineering principles to design and production tasks.
