Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Project Design Engineer in Columbus, OH to support client service offerings through the full product development lifecycle, from concept to production readiness. You'll lead APQP activities, develop and model complete assemblies using SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or NX, and ensure DFM principles are applied.

Collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and sourcing teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in product design or development.
• Experience across full product development lifecycle.
• Hands-on APQP implementation experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling and large assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of client products.
• Lead APQP activities through product development.
• Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and engineering docs.
• Model complete product assemblies for system functionality.
• Participate in design reviews, validation, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and service teams.
• Support product changes and new introductions.
