A growing advanced manufacturing organization is seeking a Project Design Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of electromechanical products. This role offers the opportunity to own products throughout their lifecycle, from design realization and engineering changes through production support and future new product introduction activities.

Responsibilities
- Lead detailed product design and product realization activities using SolidWorks
- Own engineering changes (ECR/ECO), product updates, and sustaining engineering initiatives
- Develop and maintain drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and product documentation
- Support manufacturing by troubleshooting production issues and implementing design improvements
- Create and release customer-specific product configurations and variants
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Management teams
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) scale-up activities and future product enhancements
- Drive value engineering, cost reduction, and continuous improvement projects
- Ensure product data accuracy across CAD, PDM, ERP, and related business systems
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to improve quality, cost, and manufacturability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, product engineering, sustaining engineering, or product development within a manufacturing environment
- Strong SolidWorks experience including assemblies, drawings, configurations, and BOM management
- Experience with engineering change management (ECR/ECO)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, sheet metal, castings, welding, and assembly
- Experience supporting electromechanical products
- Understanding of product lifecycle management and product configuration control
- Familiarity with ERP and PDM systems
- Experience with DFM, Lean Manufacturing, VAVE, or continuous improvement initiatives is highly preferred
