Job summary

Schluter Systems in New York state is seeking Electro-mechanical Maintenance Technicians for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts to operate, test and maintain unmanned automated equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will mentor others, troubleshoot electrical, PLC and drive systems, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to process documentation and quality plans. This role offers growth, competitive benefits and a team-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or High School Diploma (with relevant experience)
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to work independently with strong technical knowledge and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking; good improvisation under pressure
• Excellent teamwork and leadership capabilities

Responsibilities

• Safely troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on production equipment
• Diagnose PLCs, electronic drives, and use a laptop to troubleshoot down systems
• Understand PID controllers and analog control systems
• Perform preventive maintenance per OEM manuals
• Learn and apply Millwright tasks, welding, pipefitting, and machine shop work as needed
• Work solo or in teams while following safe work practices
• Be available for after-hours calls and overtime as required
• Develop and improve process documentation, quality plans, and operating instructions
