Job summary

Pretium Packaging, L.L.C. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to keep plant equipment and facility systems running safely and efficiently.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot real-time faults, and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems while coordinating with production and engineering. You’ll read manuals and schematics, create work orders, and support installation or startup of new equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic fundamentals.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with keen attention to detail.
• Comfort working independently and within a team setting.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime when operations require it.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and service on industrial machinery and facility systems.
• Diagnose and correct equipment issues quickly to reduce downtime.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to established plans and procedures.
• Create and maintain accurate work orders, service records, and maintenance logs.
• Assist with installation, modification, and start-up/commissioning of new or upgraded equipment.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Follow and reinforce safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Partner with production and engineering to enhance equipment reliability and throughput.
• Keep the shop floor and maintenance areas clean, organized, and audit-ready.
