Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Hiram, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment in a food manufacturing facility. You will diagnose PLC-related issues and work with the maintenance team on complex repairs, following safety and quality procedures.

The role requires 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience and the ability to read schematics and diagnose electrical controls.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or an associate’s degree is preferred.
Three or more years of industrial maintenance experience.
Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical systems, motors, sensors, and VFDs.
Ability to read schematics and diagnose PLC-controlled equipment.
Welding experience a plus; safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

Respond to production equipment issues and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
Repair and maintain production machinery, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics to support troubleshooting and repairs.
Independently troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, including PLC I/O diagnostics and ladder logic.
Perform preventive maintenance and keep accurate maintenance records.
Identify recurring problems and help develop lasting fixes.
Follow plant safety procedures and food manufacturing quality practices.
