Job summary

Alliance Laundry Systems Distribution is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and repair commercial washers, dryers, ironers, and related systems on-site in the Northern Birmingham, AL area. You will install parts, calibrate equipment, and document outcomes while building trust with customers.

You will travel within the territory, coordinate with the service team, and support installations, with strong focus on safety, accuracy, and clear communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of mechanical repair experience; commercial laundry experience preferred but not required (or equivalent education/training).
• Working knowledge of electrical testing instruments and diagnostic tools.
• Experience using phone/email ticketing systems for customer support (preferred).
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings; strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial washers, dryers, ironers and related systems.
• Install replacement parts and perform calibrations to meet manufacturer specs.
• Close service tickets with detailed labor, parts, materials and outcomes.
• Capture travel details, including mileage and fuel purchases.
• Explain issues and solutions clearly to customers on-site.
• Coordinate with service manager, parts team and vendors to keep jobs moving.
• Uphold care and maintenance standards for tools, test gear and service vehicle.
• Support installation teams with equipment installations and deliveries as scheduled.
• Travel within the Northern Birmingham, AL territory with substantial travel and occasional overnight stays.
