Job summary

O-I in Lapel, Indiana seeks an experienced Electro-Mechanic Journeyman to perform electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment. This multi‑craft role requires reading blueprints, performing repairs and regular maintenance on complex machinery.

The ideal candidate has journeyman status, industrial maintenance experience and strong problem-solving abilities. The position features a 12‑hour rotating shift, weekends and holidays with a competitive hourly wage and

Qualifications

Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting industrial machinery.
Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Strong problem solving skills and maintenance record keeping.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, erect, dismantle and assemble plant machinery and electrical equipment.
Inspect glass forming and related machines and components.
Make line repair adjustments to glass forming machines.
Weld, braze, solder and cut metals for repairs and fabrication of components.
Determine causes of breakdowns and plan reconditioning or replacements.
