Job summary

Mathews Mechanical is seeking a Mechanic I/Journeyman to diagnose, repair, install, modify, and maintain a range of industrial equipment in the field. The role combines electrical and hydraulic work with hands-on problem solving.

You'll work independently as part of a growing team, provide excellent customer service, and document service reports while adhering to safety and quality standards. Overtime is available and a company vehicle may be provided.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance and repair experience required.
• Electrical troubleshooting and control systems experience.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
• Mechanical assembly and fabrication skills.
• Welding and metal fabrication experience.
• Experience reading schematics and technical drawings.
• Plumbing experience including threaded pipe, copper, and glued piping systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and repair electrical power circuits, including single-phase and three-phase systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
• Build, test, and troubleshoot electrical control panels
• Diagnose machine failures and perform corrective repairs
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install hydraulic systems and components
• Disassemble and reassemble pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
• Fabricate and modify mechanical components as needed
• Install and service industrial machinery and equipment
