Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Industrial Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain specialized manufacturing machinery. This role requires up to 80% travel, primarily domestic, with some trips to Mexico, and includes heavy lifting up to 55 pounds.

Expect a hands-on position working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes, and coordinating with engineering and service teams to complete on-site

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of technical service experience if no engineering degree.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer facilities to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
• Identify failures, determine root causes, and develop repair solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades, and improvements.
• Evaluate repair requirements, parts, resources, and timelines.
• Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical prints.
• Utilize diagnostic tools including multimeters, oscilloscopes, micrometers, and calipers.
• Assist with machine assembly and equipment builds as needed.
• Coordinate service schedules and report findings to customers and internal teams.
• Document repairs and service activities in Salesforce; prepare reports.
• Identify opportunities for replacement parts and ongoing support.
• Travel to Mexico, as needed.
