Job summary

INNIO Group is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Field Service Technician in Houston, TX, to support high-performance Jenbacher gas engines. You will perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhauls across mechanical and electrical systems, with exposure to multiple fuel sources and field-based challenges.

Qualifications

Prior field technician experience (automotive, power generation, heavy equipment, ships, aviation or diesel engines).
Analytical troubleshooting skills.
Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, including overnight stays.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to work remotely as needed.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
Ability to meet company vehicle insurability standards.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on service activities according to engine maintenance protocols.
Execute minor repairs and address issues beyond planned maintenance.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures, analyze historical engine data, and propose solutions.
Coordinate with third-party suppliers as needed.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, and customers—both independently and as part of a team.
Communicate planned service activities and provide maintenance progress updates.
Take ownership of assigned sites and customers, proactively working to maximize engine reliability and great customer service.
Prepare detailed technical reports, including actions taken, materials used, and recommendations for follow-up.
Maintain tools, critical spare parts, and company vehicles in good condition.
Complete timesheets, expense reports, EHS forms, and job reports promptly.
Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
