Job summary

INNIO is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Field Service Technician in Cheyenne, WY. You will perform hands-on service on Jenbacher gas engines, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems, and work with customers to maximize engine reliability.

The role involves up to 80% travel, including overnight stays, with opportunities to advance through defined career paths and certifications within Field Service.

Qualifications

• Prior field technician experience in automotive, power generation, heavy equipment, ships, aviation or diesel engines.
• Analytical troubleshooting skills are required.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, including overnight stays, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on service activities according to engine maintenance protocols (e.g., replacing filters, inspections, measurements).
• Execute minor repairs and address issues beyond planned maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures, analyze historical engine data, and propose solutions.
• Coordinate with third-party suppliers as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues, subcontractors, and customers—independently and as part of a team.
• Communicate planned service activities and provide maintenance progress updates.
