Job summary

Apetan Consulting LLC seeks an Electro-Mechanical Enclosure Designer to support design and development of advanced liquid cooling systems for Data Centers. You will focus on mechanical enclosure design, electrical integration, 3D modeling, and manufacturing-ready designs.

In this role you will lead the enclosure design, create models and drawings, validate with prototypes, and ensure compliance with IP/NEMA, UL, NEC, NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical enclosure design and electrical cabinet layouts.
• Expertise in 3D CAD modeling, engineering drawings, GD&T, and assembly design.
• Hands-on experience with SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with IP/NEMA, UL, NEC, NFPA and related standards.
• Experience with prototyping, design validation, manufacturing, and product lifecycle improvements.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and drive projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead electro-mechanical enclosure and electrical cabinet design.
• Create 3D models, drawings, and assembly layouts.
• Integrate components, cable routing, connectors, and cooling.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing teams.
• Drive design validation, prototyping, testing, and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety.
• Support DFM, DFA, and cost optimization.
