Job summary

EMD Curtiss-Wright Electro Mechanical in Cheswick, PA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and analyze electro‑mechanical components and systems, develop drawings and specifications, and support manufacturing and testing.

The position offers a salary range of $76,200.00–$127,000.00 per year, with benefits including 401K with employer match, health and wellness benefits, learning opportunities, and a flexible work arrangement (work from home 1–2 days or 9/80 schedule).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree a plus.
• 2–10 years experience in manufacture and design of engineered products.
• Experience with rotating equipment and machine designs (motors, pumps, generators, propulsors).
• GD&T, CAD, CAE, and FEA methods.
• Ability to create models/drawings, present design reviews, and perform trade studies.
• Coordinate multiple project responsibilities; MS Office knowledge.
• US citizenship and DoD clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Designs and analyzes electro‑mechanical components and systems.
• Develops drawings and specifications for new and modified designs.
• Provides engineering design, maintenance support and training for new product and equipment.
• Assesses equipment to optimize design efficiency, safety, quality, and cost.
• Plans, coordinates, and executes engineering activities including documentation and presentations.
• May assist in building, installing, debugging, and testing new equipment.
