Job summary

Curtiss-Wright EMD in Cheswick/Pittsburgh seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze and lead electro-mechanical systems. The role emphasizes tool design, DFMA concepts, and production support across multiple projects, with a strong emphasis on leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

The position requires extensive experience in mechanical/manufacturing engineering, proficiency in 3D CAD tools, and the ability to manage complex manufacturing initiatives while ensuring safety

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering; Master’s preferred for advanced roles.
• Minimum 15 years in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Experience in industrial/shop/manufacturing environments; strong communication.
• Ability to create models/drawings and coordinate multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Designs and analyzes complex electro-mechanical components and systems.
• Directs others in development of design information for drawings/specifications.
• Leads small technical teams; provides shop and field support as needed.
• Develops work instructions, routings, and manufacturing processes/procedures.
• Identifies opportunities to reduce rework, cycle-time, and costs.
• Applies DFM/DFA/DTC concepts to development and production projects.
• Leads meetings and drives project readiness and Kaizen events.
