Job summary

Insight Global in Carlsbad, CA is seeking an electro-mechanical assembler to join the team. You will assemble, test and troubleshoot complex capital equipment and sub-systems, following procedures, drawings, and wiring diagrams to validate performance and reliability.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree or equivalent and 1+ year in manufacturing, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. On-site role emphasizes lean manufacturing, 5S and a tidy workstation.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent required.
1+ year manufacturing experience.
Ability to read assembly drawings.
Ability to read mechanical drawings.
Ability to read electrical schematics.
Ability to read pneumatic schematics.
Experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies and DVMs.
Experience with PC hardware and software troubleshooting.
Experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical capital equipment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Great interpersonal skills.
Self-starter with minimal supervision.
Experience implementing lean manufacturing, 5S and visual workplace concepts.

Responsibilities

Assembles, tests and troubleshoots complex electro-mechanical capital equipment.
Works from assembly procedures, technical drawings, test procedures, specifications, data sheets, schematics and wiring diagrams.
Sets up and operates standard and specialized test equipment; conducts tests for quality and reliability.
Diagnoses the cause of malfunctions and makes necessary corrections and adjustments.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
