Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a 1st shift Electrical/Mechanical Assembly Technician in Peoria, IL. You will assemble custom products, follow blueprints, and work with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing components to build systems.

The role involves basic electrical routing, surface finishing, tool use, and precision gauging. This is a contract-to-hire onsite position with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certification in industrial electrical technology or mechanic related field preferred.
• High School Diploma/ GED required.
• Experience in technical assembly or maintenance helpful.
• Experience reading and using blueprints/schematics preferred.
• Experience with hand and power tools required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom products and systems.
• Follow blueprints and schematics from engineering team.
• Work on pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing components.
• Perform electrical system routing and wiring tasks.
• Finish surfaces with pneumatic tools as needed.
• Operate hand, power, and machine tools for assembly.
• Follow procedure manuals and safety rules.
• Use precision gauges to check assembly accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
