Job summary

Vitrek LLC in Joliet, IL is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician on the 1st shift to build precision instruments from the ground up. This hands-on role focuses on assembling, wiring, soldering, testing and inspecting precision electronic instrumentation and electro-mechanical systems used in advanced measurement applications.

You will read schematics and engineering drawings, perform SMT and through-hole soldering, build subassemblies and box-build systems, and ensure workmanship

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
• Hands-on SMT and through-hole soldering experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and assembly docs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency.
• Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to work overtime as production needs require.

Responsibilities

• Perform SMT and through-hole soldering, including fine-pitch components.
• Assemble electronic subassemblies, electro-mechanical products, and box-builds.
• Build, route, terminate, and label wires, cables, and harnesses.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and ECOs.
• Inspect assemblies for workmanship, functionality, and compliance.
• Prepare components and materials and maintain clean work areas.
• Follow quality and safety procedures and support production goals.
