Federal Signal Corporation in University Park, IL, is seeking an Electrical/EM/mechanical assembler to identify, select and assemble a wide variety of electrical and mechanical components and sub-assemblies. You will read drawings, work from schedules and shop orders, perform wire and soldering operations, go/no-go tests and verify quantities while maintaining safety and quality.

This role includes training new and existing employees, using a range of tools, and contributing to on-time delivery

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with electrical/electro-mechanical assembly a plus.
• Ability to read drawings and work from various instructions.
• Willingness to train and mentor others.

Aufgaben

• Identify, select and assemble a wide variety of electrical/electro-mechanical components and sub-assemblies.
• Perform simple wire and soldering operations and Go/No Go tests on small lights, controls, and sub-assemblies.
• Follow drawings, blueprints, schedules, shop orders, spec sheets and test instructions.
• Review production schedules and arrange for parts, materials, tooling, and equipment to meet requirements.
• Requisition and store materials; pass KanBan cards to producing departments per guidelines.
