Job summary

Federal Signal Corporation is seeking an assembler to review orders, build tickets, and assemble components per drawings and standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will identify shortages, input data into the MRP/JDE system using RF scanners, and complete in-process inspections while maintaining 5S and safety practices. Join a team focused on quality and productivity in assembly operations.

Qualifications

• Requires basic mechanical education; diesel mechanic cert is a plus.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Fork lift certification is preferred or may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review order, build tickets and prints to determine assembly requirements.
• Assemble components according to drawings and established standards.
• Identify material/hardware shortages and record on bay white board.
• Input and scan work order data into MRP/JDE using RF scanner and keyboard.
• Report non-conforming parts and document quality information as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and 5S initiatives in the shop.
• Operate overhead crane systems and assist with maintenance needs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and meet daily/weekly production targets.
