Job summary

TMC Vibration Control, part of AMETEK, seeks an Electro-mechanical Assembler in Peabody, MA. You will build and wire assemblies, perform tests, and ensure adherence to engineering specs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in electronics, mechanics, or related field is a plus.
• 2+ years experience in electromechanical assembly or related field.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to read schematics and drawings.
• Hands-on experience with wiring, soldering, and tool use in assembly environment.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and testing of assemblies.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Basic computer skills; ERP/production tracking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install electrical and mechanical components following detailed work instructions and diagrams.
• Perform wiring, crimping, soldering, and routing of cables to meet product requirements.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble parts and subassemblies per specifications.
• Conduct inspections and functional tests to ensure proper operation of assemblies.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues, collaborating with engineering for solutions.
• Maintain records of materials used and processes followed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and keep a clean, organized workspace.
• Collaborate with Quality Control and Engineering to meet quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools/equipment to ensure performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize assembly processes.
