Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) in Bothell, WA is seeking a Manufacturing Operator / Electro-Mechanical Assembler for a 12-month contract to build, align, inspect and test complex subassemblies in a controlled production environment. The role requires reading drawings, using hand tools and test equipment, and documenting results with precision while collaborating with a small team to meet quality standards.

Pay is up to $21 per hour; onsite schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of directly applicable electro-mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and related manufacturing documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and consistency.
• Ability to handle and manipulate small components repeatedly and for extended periods.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English as required to understand work instructions, safety requirements, and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, and test electro-mechanical, opto-electrical, mechanical, and electronic subassemblies according to drawings and instructions.
• Clean and prepare components for assembly while maintaining quality standards.
• Use hand tools and assembly equipment (torque drivers, soldering irons, screwdrivers, crimp tools, wire cutters).
• Read and interpret engineering and production drawings, wiring diagrams, and test instructions.
• Determine the appropriate sequence of assembly operations from sketches and instructions.
• Inspect and test completed assemblies to verify conformance with specifications.
• Document inspection and test results according to procedures.
• Identify assembly or quality issues and assist in timely resolution.
• Follow safety, quality, and production procedures and work with a collaborative team.
