Job summary

Adecco in Hollister, CA is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to support the production of high‑quality components in a safety‑driven setting. You will interpret drawings and instructions to assemble, modify, and rework parts, while upholding strict safety practices including ESD and handling explosive materials safely.

The role involves electronic assembly tasks, PCB loading, and soldering to IPC standards, with emphasis on precision, dexterity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in electronic, mechanical, or general assembly preferred.
• Able to read instructions, drawings, and schematics.
• Proficiency with IPC J-STD and IPC‑A‑610 for electronic assembly.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely around explosive materials.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and subassemblies based on detailed instructions and schematics.
• Perform electronic assembly tasks including PCB loading and soldering to IPC standards.
• Handle inert and energetic materials with precision using appropriate equipment.
• Set up subcomponents, perform cabling and soldering with quality and safety in mind.
• Participate in process improvements to increase efficiency and product quality.
• Maintain safety certifications and follow all ESD and explosive area procedures.
