Job summary

Bloomy in South Windsor, CT, is seeking an Electronic Assembly Technician to perform high-quality electro-mechanical manufacturing and assembly of automated test equipment. You will support projects, read drawings, and collaborate with engineers to ensure on-time delivery of test solutions.

Responsibilities include assembling test equipment, wiring, PCB assemblies, and testing for proper operation. IPC certifications and a commitment to quality are required; occasional travel to client sites in

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, or wire diagrams.
Detail oriented and organized.
Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Assemble test equipment, data acquisition systems, cables, harnesses and PCB assemblies.
Layout electrical shelves and panels for test equipment.
Collaborate with engineers to identify, define and solve assembly issues.
Modify prototypes, parts, assemblies and systems to correct defects.
Test completed assemblies to ensure proper operation.
Obtain and maintain IPC certifications: J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620.
Follow and maintain company documentation standards.
Maintain inventory and tools; ensure a clean, safe work environment.
Promote continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.
Infrequently travel to company and customer sites primarily within the northeast US.
