Job summary

L3Harris is recruiting for an Assembly B position in Rochester, NY. You will perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly on various assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include building devices per drawings, using hand tools, maintaining quality and safety, and cross-training teammates. The role requires lift up to 25 lbs, overtime, and eventual J-STD-001 certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years assembly experience.
• 2-year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0–2 years assembly experience.

Responsibilities

• Build devices per drawings, routing, and work instructions.
• Assemble components to form sub-assemblies or finished assemblies using torque drivers and hand tools.
• Maintain quality and productivity; follow safety guidelines.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and 5S.
• Cross-train employees on assembly lines.
• Identify problems and contribute to process improvements.
• Perform quality checks per inspection/controls plans.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and traverse production floor for up to 12 hours.
• Obtain J-STD-001 Certification within first 90 days of employment.
