Responsibilities
- Receive instructions covering scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection of work.
- Inspect plant equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, and insufficient lubrication.
- Plan working procedures to minimize downtime.
- Advise on equipment shutdown or continued operation to avoid damage.
- Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, and assemble equipment.
- Operate simple machine tools, scaffolds, rigging, and mechanical lifting devices.
- Interpret drawings and sketches; plan tools, materials, and equipment requirements.
- Perform welding, brazing, grinding, flame annealing, pipe and sheet metal fabrication.
- Install and maintain HVAC, compressors, generators, pumps, and other mechanical systems.
- Prep surfaces and apply paints and coatings.
- Analyze wiring diagrams; locate and install circuits; troubleshoot electrical equipment.
- Perform hot‑line work, replace coils, resistors, relays, and other components.
- Install conduits, fittings, switches, controls, and fixtures for new or replacement installations.
- Ensure safety precautions and isolation of circuits.
- Handle hazardous waste under proper management practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical maintenance, welding, pipe fabrication, sheet metal, and carpentry.
- Knowledge of electrical principles, wiring specifications, control panels, and PLC logic.
- Ability to interpret drawings, calculate material requirements, and operate measurement tools.
- Proficiency in operating machinery, safety barriers, scaffolds, and lifting equipment.
- Training or certification in hazardous waste management preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Shift Details
Second shift, 3:00PM – 11:30PM.
