Description

Volta, a division of W-Industries, is an OEM manufacturer of low and medium voltage products, and enclosures (i.e. PDC, e-houses, LERs) for the Energy, Industrial, and Technology markets. Our expertise encompasses the engineering, design, fabrication, assembly, integration, and after-market services of electrical distribution equipment.

This position will consist of identifying and generating sales opportunities while driving the sales of products, systems, and services to customers in the midstream market. The candidate will have a confirmed working history that demonstrates a solid understanding of the midstream and petrochemical markets; its players, decision-making process, and trends, together with a proven track record in sales for that industry. Knowledge of electrical products and systems is preferred.

Requirements

  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the midstream and petrochemical markets.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of key customers’ organizations and facilitate introductions to Volta’s leadership and engineering.
  • Represent and promote Volta’s products and solutions in industry events and industry groups.
  • Leverage existing relationships with the target market. Develop a shortlist of key accounts and support the growth of such accounts.
  • Work with estimating and engineering to develop custom and advantageous electrical distribution solutions for the target market.
  • Prepare and deliver promotional/marketing material intended for the target market.
  • Stay abreast of new technological developments/releases and apply them to projects and processes when beneficial.
  • Provide status and progress reports of active pursuits and historical performance for management.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong customer relationships with midstream operators, petrochemical owners, and EPCs serving those markets.
  • Familiarity with industry regulatory requirements and future mandates.
  • Organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, listening effectively and soliciting input from others.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Required Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of Technical Sales, and 5+ years of experience working in the midstream and petrochemical space.
  • Working knowledge of Power Generation, Distribution, and Control infrastructure in pump/compression stations and process-heavy facilities such as refineries, petrochemical, and chemical plants.
  • Familiarity with CRM.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with midstream/petrochem operators.
  • Experience with electrical and rotating equipment used in midstream applications (e.g. CAT, Solar, ProEnergy, MTU, etc).
  • Displays a strong network of Engineering and Operations Management at various customers.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk.
  • Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking.
  • Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.). Long hours on computer keyboard.
  • Frequent travel within the US.
