Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Senior Engineer in Integrated Energy Planning to lead electrification and non-pipeline studies. You will model distribution systems, lead analyses, and collaborate across departments to advance multi-year electrification projects.

Strong technical, planning and communication skills are essential. Role involves coordinating with Forecasting/Modeling SMEs, developing new processes, and contributing to regulatory filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Electric Power Systems)
• Advanced degree preferred
• Experience with distribution planning studies and NPA
• Knowledge of energy planning standards and regulatory processes
• Strong written and oral communication, presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform distribution planning studies and NPA analyses for electrification projects
• Develop documentation to secure budget authorization for upgrades
• Conduct integrated energy planning studies and evaluate distribution system alternatives
• Coordinate with multiple departments to prepare economic analyses and regulatory filings
• Prepare contingency analyses (N-1, N-2) and propose distribution solutions
• Engage with cross-functional teams to advance multi-year electrification programs
• Deliver status reports and represent the department on committees
