Job summary
Exelon is a Fortune 200 energy company seeking a Forecast Analyst to assist in forecasting monthly electrical usage for our five-year LRp plan. The role supports revenue accounting with load forecast models and monthly close processes, plus quarterly presentations for internal and IPA procurement needs.
Responsibilities include maintaining econometric models, preparing analyses, and providing weather-adjusted usage insights.
Qualifications
- Education: BS or BA required.
- Experience: 2-4 years in utility, economics, finance or engineering functions.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze complex problems with various tools.
- Strong Excel and database software skills (Microsoft Office).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure with accurate, timely results.
- Familiarity with electric utility industry; good verbal/written communication.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and documenting load forecast models for monthly usage forecasts by customer class.
- Perform monthly estimating and reporting for closing the books; create internal reports to measure forecast performance.
- Prepare presentations and supporting analysis for load forecast updates and IPA procurement documentation.
- Support ad-hoc analyses and requests.
