Job summary

ISC Constructors, L.L.C. seeks Terminator Electricians to join a busy electrical team performing MCC and switchgear work, transformer and cable tray installation, and live energized system troubleshooting across sites nationwide.

Candidates should have a valid Texas Electrical License, 5+ years of craft experience, and CPR/AED certification; drug tests and background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Electrical License required per TDLR.
• Minimum 5 years craft-specific experience.
• CPR/AED Certification required; training provided.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol test and background checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform MCC and switchgear work.
• Terminate motors, transformers, and related equipment.
• Install and maintain transformers, capacitors, insulators, and switchgear.
• Fabricate and install conduit and cable trays.
• Read blueprints and NEC requirements, and troubleshoot energized systems.

Job description

The Position:

We are looking for positive, energetic TERMINATOR ELECTRICIANS with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have:

• Knowledge of cable splicing and high voltage termination
• Experienced with Motor Controls Centers
• Experienced with working on live Energized SubStations and MCC Buildings
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of transformers, capacitors, insulators, lightning arrestors, switches, circuit breakers, and other accessories used in connection with high-voltage distribution lines.
• Must have the ability to use specialized testing equipment
• Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, E.M.T., plasti-bond and P.V.C. conduit
• Must have the ability to use mechanical and 2” – 4” hydraulic benders
• Must be able to fabricate and install conduit supports
• Must have the ability to install wire and cable by either hand or machine in cable trays
• Help locate and identify failed cables to repair
• Must perform MCC and switchgear work
• Must be able to perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls
• Can fabricate and install breakers and fuses, cable trays, batteries, battery charger, buss duct, junction boxes, tagging, term, motors, and transformers
• Can size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses
• Able to terminate motors, transformers, stress cones and cable splicing
• Understand the proper use of hydraulic tools
• Can read blueprints and national electric code requirements
• Knowledgeable in the use of electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000-volt insulation tester
• CPR Training
• Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations

Requirements:

• Valid Texas Electrical License: go to TDLR website for more information
• Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Skill Assessment.
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks.
• Minimum 5 years craft specific experience
• Must obtain CPR/AED Certification; training provided
