Lockheed Martin in Manassas, VA seeks a Facilities Electrician Maintenance Specialist to manage daily and long-term electrical infrastructure maintenance. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform predictive maintenance across electrical systems, security, HVAC controls, and CUP equipment, driving improvement projects to support site operations and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical construction/maintenance and advanced level electrical skills working in an industrial/commercial environment.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Systems: Understanding wiring, circuits, and electrical codes and regulations.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, and Reliability Centered Maintenance practices.
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts or schedules as Facilities and equipment needs dictate.
  • Tool Proficiency: Competence in using hand and power tools, including screwdrivers, pliers, drills, and multimeters.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government DoD clearance at the Secret level. U.S Citizenship Required.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment.
  • Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit.
  • Cuts wire and conduit to length.
  • Installs, repairs, or replaces switch boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords.
  • Disassembles motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair.
  • Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
  • Uses blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools and voltage-or-amperage measuring and recording devices.

The Work

As a Facilities Electrician Maintenance Specialist, your core responsibility will be managing the daily and long-term maintenance of the building’s electrical infrastructure and systems. This includes troubleshooting and repairing equipment, performing preventative and corrective/reactive maintenance, and using condition monitoring techniques to implement predictive maintenance strategies. Your responsibilities will cover a variety of systems, including but not limited to electrical infrastructure, security systems, telecommunications, fire alarms, HVAC equipment, and Central Utility Plant (CUP) systems such as boilers and chillers. You will also be involved with facilities maintenance, including plumbing and general upkeep of site equipment. In addition, you’ll be driving projects to improve equipment capabilities and ensure systems support site operations and customer needs effectively.

Who You Are

You are a highly skilled and proactive electrical technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction and maintenance. You possess advanced electrical knowledge, especially in a facilities environment, and are well-versed in predictive maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, and Reliability Centered Maintenance practices. You are flexible, willing to work various shifts and schedules as needed to meet the demands of the facility. You have a strong ability to troubleshoot, work independently, and collaborate with vendors and other teams to resolve complex system issues. You are dedicated to continuous improvement and driving system reliability.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $56600.00 - $105000.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
