Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced facilities electrician to perform electrical preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and modification across the campus. You will work with the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor and Senior Electrician to execute scheduled maintenance, service requests, and Quick Path projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating with other trades, documenting conditions, and ensuring safety and compliance with electrical codes.

Qualifications

  • Experience performing commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or facilities electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical equipment, branch circuits, lighting, motors, controls, panels, or related facility electrical systems.
  • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, equipment documentation, and technical manuals.
  • Working knowledge of electrical safe-work practices, lockout/tagout requirements, and applicable electrical codes and standards.
  • Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment to safely troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Ability to independently perform assigned electrical maintenance activities within applicable training and qualification.
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities and emergent electrical maintenance requirements.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with electrical maintenance activities in varying facility environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required site access/security requirements.
  • Journeyman Electrician license, electrical trade certification, or equivalent electrical trade experience.
  • Experience performing electrical maintenance within an industrial, manufacturing, commercial, institutional, or large campus environment.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical panels, breakers, disconnects, transformers, motor controls, motors, lighting systems, and associated electrical infrastructure.
  • Experience installing or modifying branch circuits, receptacles, lighting, disconnects, electrical equipment connections, or similar facility electrical systems.
  • Experience supporting planned electrical outages and shutdown activities.
  • Experience performing electrical work supporting office renovations, equipment installations, facility modifications, or Quick Path projects.
  • Experience identifying electrical deficiencies during preventive maintenance and initiating appropriate corrective actions.
  • Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, OSHA requirements, and electrical safe-work practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, craftsmanship, documentation, customer-service, and communication skills.

Who You Are

This candidate is responsible for performing electrical preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and modification activities supporting facility electrical systems across the Orlando campus. Performs planned and emergent electrical maintenance on commercial and industrial electrical equipment, distribution components, branch circuits, lighting, controls, motors, and associated facility infrastructure within assigned training and qualification.

Works under the direction of the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor and alongside the Senior Electrician to execute scheduled preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, service requests, facility modifications, and Quick Path projects. Independently troubleshoots electrical issues within assigned capability and engages senior technical resources when system complexity, safety considerations, or work scope requires additional support.

Supports planned electrical outages and shutdowns, equipment replacements, minor installations, and facility modifications. Coordinates with other maintenance trades, Engineering, contractors, and facility customers when electrical work affects other building systems or operational areas.

Responsible for completing assigned work in accordance with applicable electrical safety, quality, technical, and documentation requirements. Accurately documents work performed and equipment conditions within LMBuildings, identifies deficiencies discovered during maintenance activities, and supports reliable operation of facility electrical infrastructure.

Primary responsibilities include electrical preventive and corrective maintenance, electrical troubleshooting and repair, branch circuit and equipment maintenance, lighting and controls maintenance, electrical installation and modification, planned outage support, Quick Path project support, coordination with other facility trades, and work order documentation.

Repairs, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment. Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit. Cuts wire and conduit to length. Installs, repairs, or replaces switch boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords. Disassembles motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair. Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency. Uses blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools and voltage-or-amperage measuring and recording devices.

Basic Qualifications

Experience performing commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or facilities electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation.

Experience troubleshooting electrical equipment, branch circuits, lighting, motors, controls, panels, or related facility electrical systems.

Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $50300.00 - $93300.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
