Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an electrician for the 2nd shift (5:00pm–2:00am, Sunday through Thursday) to troubleshoot, repair and support machine systems. The role requires 3 months of hands-on industrial electrical experience within the last 24 months and the ability to identify electrical components and use basic testing tools.

Completion of or enrollment in an electrical program, apprenticeship, or technical degree is expected.

Job Details:

2nd Shift Work Schedule: Sunday through Thursday 5:00pm - 2:00am

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and providing technical support for machine systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Electrician Maintenance EC01-EC08 – Must have 3 months continuous hands-on industrial electrical work experience within the last 24 months listed on the application. Ability to identify electrical components, use basic test instruments, and follow lock/tagout procedures. Completion of or enrollment in an electrical program, apprenticeship, or technical degree.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Rehire Criteria:

• Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.
• Also, if you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.
