Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a full‑time Electrician (Journeyman or Residential Wireman) for our Peabody/Boston area location.

You will wire, install, and maintain standby generator systems and related electrical equipment, delivering safe, code‑compliant installations for residential and light commercial projects. Ideal candidates hold a Journeyman or Residential Wireman license, have 2+ years of electrical experience, and can read blueprints and electrical drawings.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician or Residential Wireman. Full‑time. Mostly Residential Projects
• Apprentice, Certified or Licensed
• Hold a valid Journeyman Electrician License or Residential Wireman License
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of residential or commercial electrical experience
• Strong knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code)
• AC and DC electrical experience preferred
• Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints
• Comfortable working with tools, conduit benders, and test meters
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Installing Standby Generators and Automatic Transfer Switches
• Electrical/Generator service calls
• Heavy Lifting is required - Be physically able to perform the job duties including bending, stooping, climbing ladders, pulling, grasping, and walking on uneven surfaces.
• Must have the ability to work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
• Proper eyesight/vision to be able to perform mechanical repairs safely.
• Be able to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Promote a safe and positive work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership if necessary
• GENERATOR EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS, BUT NOT REQUIRED

Responsibilities
