New Orleans Public Facility Mngt, Inc. is seeking a skilled electrician to perform day-to-day assignments via work orders or Foreman instructions, ensuring timely and accurate completion and safe operation.
You will monitor, repair and install electrical equipment in line with local and national codes, perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, and coordinate with other departments to minimize disruption. A Class D Electrical License and 4–6 years of related experience are required.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform day to day assignments via work orders and/or instructions from Foreman to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Interface all electrical equipment repairs in harmony with other internal functional departments as required minimizing disruption and maximizing effectiveness.
Comply with established inventory, equipment distribution, equipment operation and maintenance procedures to ensure the efficient, effective and safe operation of the department.
Notify Foreman of any equipment requiring repair or replacement to ensure a safe and effective workplace.
Assist vendors and contractors as required in completing their contractual obligations in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
Adhere to the policies regarding MCCNO and departmental procedures.
Other Skills and Abilities
Must demonstrate technical expertise in the electrical field as prescribed by city, state and national codes.
High School or better.
Technical/other training or better.
Class D City of New Orleans Electrical License required.
years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Class D Electrical Lic.
