Job summary

The University of South Carolina is seeking an Electrician II to perform highly skilled electrical duties, maintaining and repairing campus-wide electrical systems. You will install equipment and remodel services to support campus departments, and act as lead worker when the supervisor is unavailable.

Must read blueprints and schematics, use a computer, and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, vendors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, other electrical documents and able to use a computer.
• The ability to understand written and oral instructions, communicate effectively with faculty, staff, coworkers, vendors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs campus-wide electrical systems under limited supervision.
• Installs electrical equipment and remodels existing electrical services to support campus departments.
• Acts as lead worker and assumes supervisor responsibilities in absence of the supervisor.
