Job summary

The University of South Carolina seeks an Electrician II in the DAF Facilities Maintenance department to maintain and repair campus-wide electrical systems, install equipment, and remodel services to support campus departments.

Under limited supervision, this role acts as a lead worker in the supervisor's absence and requires reading blueprints, schematics, and using a computer to document work and coordinate with faculty, staff, vendors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and electrical documents.
• Ability to understand instructions and communicate with faculty, staff, coworkers, vendors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair campus-wide electrical systems.
• Install electrical equipment and remodel electrical services to support campus departments.
• Act as lead worker and supervise in the supervisor's absence.
