Job summary

Maker's Pride is seeking an Electrician I at our McComb, OH facility. The role focuses on repairing, maintaining, and setting up production equipment with strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

You will apply technical knowledge to ensure reliable operation and adherence to maintenance schedules. The position requires reading safety rules and maintenance manuals, performing set-ups, wiring layouts, and troubleshooting PLCs.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical repair and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong math for measurements and unit conversions.
• PLC troubleshooting skills and electrical schematics literacy.
• Candidate comfortable with physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-ups as per manufacture's requirements.
• Plan layout, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
• Read and understand manufacture's preventative maintenance recommendations.
• Perform production set-ups and inspections in a timely manner.
• Maintain all necessary tools and equipment to perform the duties as assigned.
• Read and understand basic electrical schematics.
• Perform basic electrical jobs such as replace motors, switches and basic relay circuits.
• Tackle tasks for someone who is mechanically/electrically inclined.
• Troubleshooting PLCs.

Hours of Operation:

Monday through Friday + Overtime/Weekends

• 2nd Shift: 2:00PM to 10:00PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00PM to 6:00AM

Sign-ON BONUS INCENTIVE:

We are providing a sign‑on bonus for every new hire starting as a Electrician I at the McComb, OH facility. The payout is broken down as below:

• Electrician I: $3000k - 50% on 1st pay, 50% in 90 days

Job Responsibilities

The Electrician's primary responsibilities are to repair, maintain and set‑up any and all production equipment as needed. Also, to apply all technical knowledge and experience to ensure that all repairs and set‑ups are performed in a safe and accurate manner.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform set‑ups as per manufacture's requirements

Education and/or Experience

• Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
