Job summary

Maker's Pride is seeking an Electrician I to repair, maintain, and set up production equipment. The role requires electrical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and ability to troubleshoot PLCs. The candidate should be able to read electrical schematics and perform routine maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.

Four years of related experience or training is expected. The work environment includes varied shifts and potential heavy lifting.

Qualifications

• Must have electrical knowledge and basic mechanical skills.
• Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics is required.
• Prior experience with production equipment maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and set up production equipment.
• Plan layout, install and repair wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
• Read and follow maintenance recommendations from manufacturers.
• Perform production set-ups and inspections in a timely manner.
• Maintain and organize tools and equipment for the job.
• Read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Replace motors, switches and basic relay circuits.
• Troubleshoot PLCs.
• Demonstrate mechanical/electrical inclination in daily tasks.

Hours of Operation:

• Monday through Friday + Overtime/Weekends
• 2nd Shift: 2:00PM to 10:00PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00PM to 6:00AM

SIGN-ON BONUS INCENTIVE:

• Electrician I: $3000k - 50% on 1st pay, 50% in 90 days

Job Responsibilities

The Electrician's primary responsibilities are to repair, maintain and set-up any and all production equipment as needed. Also, to apply all technical knowledge and experience to ensure that all repairs and set-ups are performed in a safe and accurate manner.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform set-ups as per manufacture's requirements
• Plan layout, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment
• Read and understand manufacture's preventative maintenance recommendations
• Perform production set-ups and inspections in a timely manner
• Maintain all necessary tools and equipment to perform the duties as assigned
• Read and understand basic electrical schematics
• Perform basic electrical jobs such as replace motors, switches and basic relay circuits
• Someone who’s mechanical/and Electrical inclined
• Troubleshooting PLC’s

Education and/or Experience

• Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
