Baltimore County is seeking an Electrician to perform electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work in the Pumping Division of the Bureau of Utilities, within the Department of Public Works and Transportation. The position requires two years of electrical experience and may require a Maryland driver’s license.
The role involves reading blueprints, handling power distribution systems, and adhering to safety codes.
Pay Schedule II, Grade 20, Regular Schedule: 40 hours per week

Under the guidance of an Electrician II, performs electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work.

Two years' experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or repair.
Related training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Some positions may require possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a non-commercial, class C Maryland driver's license at the time of appointment.

The work of this classification entails the performance of heavy physical labor including bending, stooping, climbing ladders, lifting and carrying heavy objects, and the operation of tools and equipment. Some duties require exposure to potentially hazardous conditions such as high voltage electricity and adverse weather. Some duties may require travel between work sites.
