Job summary

ISC Constructors, L.L.C. is seeking a positive, energetic electrician to join our experienced team. You will fabricate and install conduit, wire and cable, and perform MCC and switchgear work across multiple sites.

A strong foundation in blueprint reading and NEC rules is essential, along with a commitment to safety. Applicants should have at least four years of craft-specific experience, pass NCCER assessment, and succeed a pre-employment drug test.

Qualifications

• Ability to fabricate and install conduit and supports per drawings and specs.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and NEC requirements for electrical work.
• Experience with MCC and switchgear assemblies and motor controls.
• Ability to terminate motors, transformers and equipment with proper torque and technique.
• Skilled in using electrical testers (VOM, amp meter, insulation tester) and OSHA safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, EMT, plasti-bond and PVC conduit.
• Use mechanical and hydraulic benders up to 4 inches to shape conduit.
• Fabricate and install conduit supports and cable trays.
• Install wire and cable by hand or machine in cable trays.
• Perform MCC and switchgear work and troubleshoot energized motor controls.
• Terminate motors, transformers, buss duct and related equipment.
• Read blueprints and comply with NEC and electrical codes.
• Meet NCCER Skill Assessment requirements and pass pre-employment drug tests.

The Position:

We are looking for positive, energetic electricians with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, E.M.T., plasti-bond and P.V.C. conduit
• Must have the ability to use mechanical and 2” – 4” hydraulic benders
• Must be able to fabricate and install conduit supports
• Must have the ability to install wire and cable by either hand or machine in cable trays
• Must perform MCC and switchgear work
• Must be able to perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls
• Can fabricate and install breakers and fuses, cable trays, batteries, battery charger, buss duct, junction boxes, tagging, term, motors, and transformers
• Can size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses
• Able to terminate motors, transformers, stress cones and cable splicing
• Understand the proper use of hydraulic tools
• Can read blueprints and national electric code requirements
• Knowledgeable in the use of electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000-volt insulation tester
• Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations
• Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Skill Assessment.
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks.
• Minimum 4 years craft-specific experience.
