Job summary

CommScope, based in North Carolina, is seeking a skilled electrician to join the installation team. The role covers assembling, installing, testing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing electrical components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will read drawings, diagnose issues, and ensure safe operation of equipment. The position emphasizes wiring installations, records, and collaboration with maintenance staff and contractors.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrician in NC.
• Experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Electrical proficiency, able to diagnose and tackle problems, and read electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, maintain, repair, and replace electrical components using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctions, test electrical systems for accurate operation, and inspect equipment for hazards or defects.
• Plan and perform installations while adhering to codes, preparing sketches, and updating drawings for accurate records.
• Pull wires through conduits, construct parts, and dismantle/assemble equipment with precision.
• Maintain detailed records of breakdowns and repairs, collaborate with maintenance fitters, and assist external contractors when needed.

Based in our Catawba, NC location where you will be part of the installation team for new machinery and equipment.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

Responsibilities include assembling, installing, testing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing electrical components using hand and power tools.

You will diagnose malfunctions, test electrical systems for accurate operation, and inspect equipment for hazards or defects. Advising management on equipment operation is part of the job.

Using a range of tools and equipment, you will work at heights to install and repair electrical wiring and equipment. Your tasks involve planning and performing installations while adhering to codes, preparing sketches, and updating drawings for accurate records.

You will also pull wires through conduits, construct parts, and work on tasks such as dismantling and assembling equipment with precision.

Maintaining detailed records of breakdowns and repairs, collaborating with maintenance fitters, and contributing to equipment modifications are part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you may work with external contractors when needed.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

• Fully qualified Electrician in NC
• Experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Electrical proficiency, able to diagnose and tackle problems, and read electrical drawings.
