Job summary

CommScope is seeking a skilled Controls Electrician to join our Claremont, NC team, focusing on installing and commissioning electrical systems for new machinery. This role emphasizes building control panels, wiring, and diagnostics to improve uptime and performance.

You'll work with maintenance and installation crews, supervise external contractors when needed, and ensure adherence to NEC and safety standards. A NC license and manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician with NEC knowledge and 3–5 years of experience.
• Experience leading a team in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency reading prints and schematics.
• Ability to work from ladders and aerial platforms.

Responsibilities

• Install conduits and wire ways; pull wires and cables.
• Construct and assemble control panels; work on equipment installation.
• Diagnose malfunctions; test electrical systems for proper operation.
• Plan installations; prepare sketches and material lists; update drawings.
• Coordinate with maintenance and external contractors when needed.
