Job summary

The Southern Ute Indian Tribe is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Ignacio, Colorado, to provide electrical maintenance support for equipment and fire alarm systems in Tribal Buildings.

The ideal candidate should possess a High School Diploma, have at least 4 years of electrical maintenance experience, and be licensed as an electrician in Colorado. This position offers a pay rate of $35.96/hour with TERO preference.

Qualifications

• Must have 4 years of electrical troubleshooting, repair and maintenance experience.
• Must be able to report to the Maintenance Shop for emergencies within 45 minutes.
• Must pass background check including Criminal History and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support for electrical systems and fire alarms.
• Perform installation and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.

Position Summary

This position provides maintenance support, troubleshooting, installation and preventative maintenance on commercial mechanical, electrical equipment and fire alarm systems located in Southern Ute Tribal Buildings. This position is a grade N15; pay is $35.96/hour.

Education and Experience

• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must be able to report to the Maintenance Shop for off hour emergencies within 45 minutes of notification.
• Must have 4 years of Electrical troubleshooting, repair and maintenance experience as well as have working knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems.
• Must be a Licensed Electrician in the State of Colorado or obtain licensure within first 3 months of employment.
• Must have a working knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures for Building Electrical Systems.
• Must have experience reading and working with blueprints and schematics.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License for state of residency and be insurable under the Tribal vehicle insurance policy.
• Must pass a thorough background check including, Criminal History, fingerprint check, and pre-employment drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of Motors, Motor Starters, Electrical Devices and Electronic Locks & Systems.
• Experience with, but not limited to Generators, Transformers, Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Alarm Devices and Electrical Lighting Systems.
