Southern Ute Indian Tribe is seeking a skilled supervisor to lead crew leaders and field teams in construction, repair, and site improvement projects in Ignacio, Colorado. You will oversee safety, quality, and productivity while managing staffing, training, and performance.

Responsibilities include scheduling, dispatching crews, inspecting progress, and ensuring compliance with standards. A valid driver’s license and fingerprint/background checks are required; a $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Competenze

• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must have 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Must have 5 years of construction field experience, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and heavy equipment operation.
• Must have computer experience including Word and Excel.
• Must be able to read, interpret, and draw construction and building plans.
• Must have knowledge of roof types (sheathing, trusses, gutters, panels).
• Must have extensive knowledge of equipment, power/hand tools, and related machinery.
• Must be able to work a rotating on-call schedule.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and be insurable under Tribal policy.
• Must pass a background/fingerprint check and pre-employment drug test.

Position Summary: Supervises Crew Leaders and field personnel engaged in construction, repair, maintenance, rehabilitation, and site improvement activities. Provides daily oversight of multiple crews and maintains a high standard of safety, quality, productivity, and customer service. Responsible for personnel management including hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and workforce development. Coordinates schedules, dispatches crews, manages workloads, and inspects work in progress and upon completion to ensure compliance with department standards and project requirements. This job is a grade E16; pay is $82,285.00/annually. $10,000.00 Sign-on Bonus.

Education And Experience

• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must have 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Must have 5 years of experience in the construction field, with experience in both home and residential construction, including knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and operation of heavy equipment.
• Must have computer experience including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must have the ability to accurately read, interpret, and draw construction and building plans.
• Must have a general knowledge of various roof types to include sheeting, trusses, gutters, and panels.
• Must have extensive knowledge in the use of equipment, power and hand tools, and other machinery used in home construction and repair.
• Must be able to work a rotating on-call schedule.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License for state of residency and be insurable under the Tribal vehicle Insurance policy.
• Must pass a thorough background check including Criminal History and fingerprint check.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in First Aid and CPR.
• Working knowledge of the Southern Ute Indian Reservation and the location and ownership of houses within the exterior boundaries of the reservation is preferred.
• Experience supervising construction crews.
