Job summary

A leading construction firm in Texas is seeking an experienced electrician for their Small Caps Division. The ideal candidate will have a valid Texas Electrical License and a minimum of 6 years of craft-specific experience. Responsibilities include fabricating and installing conduit, troubleshooting motor controls, and following electrical safety regulations. Job description

The Position:

We are looking for a positive, energetic, seasoned electrician for our Small Caps Division, with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

  • Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, E.M.T., plasti‑bond and P.V.C. conduit
  • Use mechanical and 2–4 inch hydraulic benders
  • Fabricate and install conduit supports
  • Install wire and cable by hand or machine in cable trays
  • Perform MCC and switchgear work
  • Troubleshoot energized motor controls
  • Fabricate and install breakers and fuses, cable trays, batteries, battery chargers, buss ducts, junction boxes, tagging, term. motors, and transformers
  • Size thermal‑overloads, breakers, and fuses
  • Terminate motors, transformers, stress cones and cable splicing
  • Use hydraulic tools properly
  • Read blueprints and national electric code requirements
  • Use electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000‑volt insulation tester
  • Follow communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations
Requirements:

  • Valid Texas Electrical License: go to TDLR website for more information
  • Meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Skill Assessment
  • Pass a post‑offer, pre‑employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks
  • Minimum 6 years craft‑specific experience
