Job summary

Novolex is hiring an Electrician Associate II for Frankfort, IL to maintain electrical systems across thermoforming and extrusion lines. This role offers three shifts: 7am–7pm, 7pm–7am, or a 2-2-3 rotation, with pay up to $38.95 per hour depending on experience.

The job requires a HS diploma and at least 3 years in manufacturing maintenance or automation, with PLC knowledge preferred. Candidates must have their own tools, be ready for overtime, and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years automation technician experience within manufacturing or related industry.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, blue print reading; welding/fabrication a plus.
• Previous electrical troubleshooting experience; PLC knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned electrical maintenance on equipment and machinery for thermoforming and extrusion processes.
• Troubleshoots and maintains automation equipment; performs maintenance, setup and PM on automation equipment.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment including trim presses, extruders, formers, crystallizers, dryers, conveyors and grinders.
• Modifies equipment for performance improvements and upgrades.
• Maintains accurate paperwork and housekeeping; follows safety rules and company policies.
• Able to work in all production areas as required.

Job Description

Electrician Associate II|Frankfort, IL| Now Hiring

Compensation:

• $up to $38.95 per hour - depending on experience

Available Shifts:

• 7am-7pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs planned electrical maintenance on all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming and extrusion process to ensure the integrity of electrical systems.
• Includes performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment. Also includes performing maintenance, set-up and PM on automation equipment.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repair/maintain all equipment and machinery including trim presses, extruders, formers, crystallizers, dryers, conveyors, and grinders.
• Modifies new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades.
• Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Responsible for ensuring housekeeping in area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidy.
• Follows all Company established rules and policies.
• Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations.
• Perform Maintenance Connection day-by-day duties.
• Be able to work in all areas of production.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 3 + years automation technician experience within the manufacturing industry, or related experience
• Must be knowledgeable in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, blue print reading (mechanical/electrical), welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Previous electrical experience with troubleshooting capabilities
• Previous mechanical experience with troubleshooting capabilities; Knowledge of PLCs is preferred
• Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively
• Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential
• Flexibility to work overtime.
