Novolex is seeking an Electrician in Plattsburgh, NY to safely diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems across production lines. The role supports continuous operation of equipment on a 2-2-3 schedule with a 6:00pm–6:00am shift, compensating at $34.66 per hour.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years’ related experience and a strong foundation in PLC/PC controls and blue print reading. Must supply own tools and be able to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent; 2-year Electro-Mechanical degree preferred.
• 3-5 years related experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, blue print reading.
• PLC and PC controls knowledge; experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Omron.
• Must have own tools; ability to work overtime and off shifts as needed.

Responsabilités

• Performs planned electrical maintenance on all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming process to ensure electrical integrity.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repair/maintain equipment including blenders, crystallizers, dryers, extruders, formers, presses, conveyors and grinders.
• Troubleshoots AC and DC drives and motors; PC and PLC controlled systems; heaters and safety circuits.
• Modifies new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades.
• Uses Maintenance Connection to record and close work orders promptly.
• Maintains safe, clean work areas and adheres to safety policies.

Job Description

Electrician| Plattsburgh, New York| Now Hiring

Compensation:

• $34.66 per hour
• 2-2-3 schedule

Available Shift:

• 6:00pm-6:00am

Summary: Safely and effectively performs diagnostic testing and repairs on extensive electrical systems, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems in order to ensure continuous operation of production equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs planned electrical maintenance on all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming process to ensure the integrity of electrical systems.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repair/maintain all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming process including blenders, crystallizers, dryers, extruders, formers, trim presses, conveyors, and grinders.
• Troubleshoots AC and DC drives and motors; PC and PLC controlled systems; heaters, thermocouples, and heat controllers; safety circuits
• Modifies new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades.
• Uses Maintenance Connection to record and close work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Responsible for ensuring housekeeping in area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidy.
• Follows all Company established rules and policies
• Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations
• Analytical, problem solving, project management, strong technical/functional skills, customer service, interpersonal skills, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, organized, mechanical aptitude, electrical aptitude, detail oriented

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalency; 2-year Electro-Mechanical technical degree preferred
• 3-5 years related experience;
• Must be knowledgeable in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, blue print reading (mechanical/electrical), understanding of welding and fabrication
• Previous electrical experience with troubleshooting capabilities; Previous mechanical experience with troubleshooting capabilities
• Must be knowledge of PLC and PC controls
• Prefer experience using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Omron systems
• Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively
• Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential. Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed
