Job summary

Novolex is hiring an Electrician Associate in Canandaigua, NY for 12-hour night shifts. The role includes troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems across industrial lines, reading schematics, and supporting high voltage distribution up to 34.5KV.

You will work with PLCs, servo motors, and temperature control systems while following strict PPE and NFPA 70E safety standards. Qualified candidates have a HS Diploma or GED with 3–5 years in a related field; an AAS/AOS is

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and 3–5 years related work experience.
• AAS/AOS degree in a related electrical field preferred.
• Must be able to work a 12-hour, non-rotating shift (7pm–7am).
• Must obtain a Novolex forklift/mast lift license.
• PPE compliance and OSHA/NFPA 70E safety practices required.
• Able to troubleshoot equipment and systems with internal/external teams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, computer, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment used in industrial manufacturing.
• Read electrical prints and wiring schematics.
• Handle 24V, 120V, 240V, 480V circuits and high voltage distribution up to 34.5KV.
• Work with AC/DC motors and variable frequency drives.
• Operate servo motors and encoders.
• Interface PLCs via Ethernet/IP and serial communications for troubleshooting.
• Support industrial temperature control and safety circuitry.

Job Description

Electrician Associate|Canandaigua,NY|HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Compensation:

• $30.76 - $45.00 (depending on experience)(Paid Weekly)
• *$5000 sign on Bonus*

Available Shift:

• 12-hour shifts (2x2x3 schedule) 7:00PM-7:00AM
• Work 14 days a month and still recieve full-time pay
• Every other weekend off
• Built-in overtime opportunities weekly
• No swing shifts / no last-minute schedule changes
• Commute 30% less than traditional 8-hour schedule

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting electrical, computer, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment/systems commonly used in industrial manufacturing applications.
• Reading electrical prints and wiring schematics.
• Electrical circuits - 24V, 120V, 240V and 480V. Also includes 'high voltage' power distribution (up to 34.5KV), grounding, and associated components (transformers, breakers, fuses, disconnects, etc ).
• AC and DC motors & variable frequency drives.
• Servo motors and encoders.
• Laptop connection and communication with different types of PLCs for troubleshooting purposes; includes working knowledge of Ethernet IP address and serial communications.
• Industrial temperature control systems, including thermocouples, temperature controllers, solid state relays, and heating elements.
• Industrial safety circuitry, including 'Emergency Stop' circuits.

Qualifications:

• This position requires a HS Diploma or GED and 3-5 years of related work experience or qualified educational training/certification.
• An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or an Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) degree in a related electrical field is preferred.
• Must be able to work a standard 12-hour, nonrotating shift (7pm - 7am) and be willing to occasionally work on scheduled days off as business needs dictate.
• Must be able to obtain a Novolex license to safely operate a fork lift and man lift as business needs dictate.
• Perform activities using all required PPE and follow Novolex's safe work practices and OSHA regulations, including NFPA 70E.
• Ability to effectively work with other internal and external resources to troubleshoot equipment or systems.
