Job summary

MB HAYNES Corporation is seeking an Electrician Helper to assist a licensed electrician with installation and repair of wiring, fixtures, and equipment. The role involves gathering tools, measuring and bending wire, and pulling wiring through openings on site.

Candidates should be able to lift heavy materials, work on ladders or lifts, and follow all safety procedures. The position may require outdoor work in varied weather and regular use of PPE.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
• Positive, cooperative attitude and excellent attendance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders or aerial lifts.
• Must properly use safety equipment and personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Electrician to install and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
• Gather tools and supplies to be used at the work site.
• Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit using ruler and hand tools.
• Drill holes for wiring, using power drill, and pull or push wiring through openings.
• Trace short circuits in wiring, using knowledge of wiring and test meter.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduits, and motors.
• Perform minor repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches using hand tools.

Traces short circuits in wiring, using knowledge of wiring and test meter. Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduits, and motors. Performs minor repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches using hand tools.

Requirements:

• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Must have a positive and cooperative attitude and excellent attendance.
• Must be able to get along with fellow workers, other tradesmen on the job site, inspectors, customers, and the public.
• Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds of conduit or wire, work raising both arms overhead while standing on ladders or aerial lifts to install conduit, lighting fixtures, safely use hand tools and power tools.
• Properly use safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
